After several holidays here we fell in love with Galicia, and 3 years ago, decided to move here with our 2 children, and dogs.
In those days Galicia wasn't easy to reach, with only chartered flights or long ferry crossings, there weren't cheap galicia holidays either. Since then Galicia has become much more accessible with flights to Galicia with Ryanair,
Easy Jet and Vueling, you can leave home in the morning and be eating tapas by lunchtime!
Holidays in Galicia, unlike the rest of Spain, are relatively new, so be sure to bring your phrase book, but to the Spanish it has been a very well kept secret, with beautiful beaches, historic towns and wonderful green countryside, it´s no wonder that this is where the Spanish choose to spend their holidays.

further north, so it's definitely not just a
summer destination, it's perfect for holidays
and short breaks all year round too.
Food in Galicia comes mainly from the sea, with wonderful fresh mussels, crab, squid and not forgetting what Galicia is famous for, pulpo (octopus drizzled in olive oil and sea salt) you have to try it!
